The Michigan Justice Fund, a statewide initiative of the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, assisted in securing the Free Your Mind exhibition to display at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD). The Free Your Mind exhibition consisted of multi-medium art pieces created by artists directly impacted by incarceration. The exhibition also featured portraits of directly impacted MJF partners and advocates leading reform work throughout the state. The exhibit displayed the full beauty, depth, and humanity of those impacted by the Michigan criminal legal system.
